Alright, folks, Ezra 7. This is the chapter where Ezra the priest and scribe is granted a royal decree from the Persian King, Artaxerxes, to return to Jerusalem. He's gonna take some of the people, some of the priests, some of the Levites, some of the singers, some of the gatekeepers and some of the Nethinims. He's also gonna take some of the treasures of the house of God and some vessels of silver and gold, as well as a bunch of other stuff. Artaxerxes even gives Ezra money to buy bulls, rams, and lambs. So, Ezra's off, and as he's heading out, the people of Israel give him a bunch of their own offerings. So, it's a pretty good deal for Ezra, but it's a better deal for God, right?
