Peter: Alright, so this is Malachi 1. Basically, God is mad at the people of Judah and Israel because they're not giving their sacrifices to him with the right attitude. He's like, "You give me the scraps, but you don't put any effort into it!"

Lois: Yeah, he's really mad. He says that if they don't do it right, he'll curse them and make them suffer.

Brian: Wow, that's harsh.

Stewie: Ooh, I know what that reminds me of. Remember when we went to the mall and Meg got the last pair of shoes in her size, but then we found out the store was having a sale and the shoes were actually cheaper?

Peter: That was so funny, Stewie. Anyways, God also talks about how he loves the people of Edom, which is a pretty weird thing to do in this chapter.

Lois: Yeah, and then at the end he says that he's going to send a messenger, who will prepare the way for the coming of the Lord.

Brian: So, God is mad, but he's also sending a messenger to help out the people of Judah and Israel?

Stewie: I guess so. I think it's like when we went to that carnival and I won that giant stuffed bear, but then it turned out to be a trick and I didn't actually win anything.

Peter: Alright, that's Malachi 1.
