Folks! Here's the deal: Malachi 1 — no malarkey! My father used to say, and I'm not joking, that this is a chapter of the Bible that literally talks about God's love for his people. And, see here, Jack: God says that his people have been treating his name with disrespect, and uh, you know, he's not gonna take it. He's not having it. I mean, like, what was that? He says, "When you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that not evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that not evil? Present it now to your governor; will he be pleased with you or show you favor?" I mean, c'mon, man! That's pretty clear. And God doesn't take it lightly, I tell you what. He says, "Oh, that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hand." That's some tough love, excuse me. But it's a reminder that God's love never fails.
