Robin: Holy scripture, Batman! What do we have here?

Batman: Well, Robin, this is Luke 21. It starts with Jesus warning his disciples about the destruction of the temple, and telling them not to be afraid.

Joker: Ha! I love it when He tells them not to be afraid. What else does it say?

Batman: Well, Jesus warns them about wars and famines, and tells them to stand firm in their faith. He also tells them that the end times are near, and that they must be ready for the coming of the Son of Man.

Catwoman: Oh, this is getting exciting!

Robin: Indeed! And then what happens, Batman?

Batman: Jesus goes on to tell his disciples to watch out for false prophets and to be on their guard. He also tells them that they will be persecuted, but that they should not be afraid. He also tells them to be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves. Finally, he tells them that the kingdom of God is near.

Joker: Wow! That sounds like a lot of stuff to remember.

Robin: It sure does! But I'm sure the disciples did their best to remember it all.

Batman: Absolutely. And we should do the same.
