Revelation 1: We start off with a bang, people, as John the Apostle gets a vision from God. He sees seven golden lampstands, and seven stars in the right hand of the one who speaks. Talk about a power move. He also sees a son of man figure, and he's wearing a robe and a golden sash. He's got feet like bronze, and his hair is white as snow, and his eyes are like blazing fire. Wowza. He's also got a sharp two-edged sword coming out of his mouth. I don't think I want to mess with this guy. He's also got seven stars in his right hand, and out of his mouth comes a sharp two-edged sword. He's also got the keys to death and Hades. Yikes. He commands John to write down everything he sees, so that's what John does. And that's Revelation 1, folks.
