Peter: Alright, so Colossians 2, eh? Alright, so Paul's saying that we should hold on to the traditions of the church, not just like, the traditions of the world. Like, if we don't keep our faith, it's like having a remote control that only works with one channel, and that channel is like, the Home Shopping Network.

Lois: Oh, Peter.

Peter: Oh, and he's also saying that we should be careful of going overboard with all the regulations and stuff, like a bunch of health inspectors trying to shut down a Waffle House.

Brian: That's not really a good analogy, Peter.

Peter: What? Too specific? Ok, uh... he's saying that if we try to follow too many rules, it'll be like a bear trying to wear a tuxedo.

Lois: That's a little better, I guess.

Peter: And then he's saying that all the rules and regulations are just like, window dressing, and that the real stuff is in our hearts. Like, if you have a really evil heart, it's like having a really nice car with a really junky engine.

Brian: That's actually a pretty good analogy, Peter.

Peter: Thanks, Brian! Alright, so Paul's saying that we should trust God and not get all caught up in the rules and stuff. It's like, if you try to find your way somewhere by looking at the stars, but you ignore the GPS.
