Listen, Jack, no malarkey! Here's the deal. Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early in the morning and saw that the stone was rolled away. She ran and told the other disciples, who went to the tomb and found it empty. Then Jesus appeared to Mary and she recognized him. Mary went and told the other disciples that Jesus was alive. But they didn’t believe her at first. C’mon, man! Later that day, Jesus appeared to the disciples in the upper room and showed them his hands and his side. He then said, “Peace be with you.” Folks, this was a sign that he was truly risen from the dead. Literally! Later, Jesus appeared to Thomas and told him to put his hand in the holes in his hands. My father used to say, “See here, Jack, if you don’t believe, you won’t be saved.” I’m not joking. But Thomas still didn’t believe until Jesus said, “what was that?” and Thomas said, “You are my Lord and my God.” Then Jesus said, “or uh, you know, blessed are those who do not see and still believe.” Jesus then gave the disciples the power to forgive sins. I tell you what, if you don’t forgive, you won’t be forgiven. Excuse me, that’s not gonna happen.
