Folks, here's the deal: John 13 is all about Jesus washing the disciples' feet. Now, c'mon, man! I'm not joking. We're talking about one of the most powerful people ever, who literally humbled himself and washed the feet of his followers. My father used to say: "If Jesus can do this, what excuse do we have not to follow his example?" See here, Jack: He wasn't just washing their feet, he was teaching them a lesson too. He said, "If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you must wash each others' feet." Now, if that's not enough, what was that? Jesus then said, "I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." Then he added, "No malarkey!" Excuse me, but I tell you what: This is an example of true leadership. This is the ultimate act of service. Or uh, you know, this is what Jesus wants us to do. It's not gonna happen overnight, but if we follow his example, we can make a difference. That's what I'm talking about.
