Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Job was a righteous man, and then God decided to test him. So He said to satan, "C'mon, man, take away all Job's possessions and his health, and see if he curses me!" See here, Jack, satan did as he was told and took away all Job's possessions, and also gave him painful sores all over his body. No malarkey!

So Job's wife said to him, "Curse God and die," but Job said, "You talk like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, but not accept bad?" So, folks, Job stayed devoted to God. My father used to say, "The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away." I'm not joking.

Then Job's three friends came to visit him and they sat with him in silence, because they saw how great his suffering was. But then they began to accuse Job of some kind of sin. What was that? Job responded that they had no right to judge him and that he was innocent.

Then, Job prayed to God and asked why he was being punished so severely. God answered him out of a storm, but not with any answer. So Job accepted his suffering, but still didn't understand why it had happened. No malarkey!

Excuse me, literally, Job was tested, and he came out better than ever. He was blessed with twice as much as he had before. What was that? So much for suffering, Jack. Not gonna happen!
