Hey, folks, it's Norm MacDonald here with your Bible update. In Job 2, we see that, yet again, Satan's up to his old tricks. He's trying to get Job to curse God and, this time, he's using Job's own body as the target of his attacks. →

Joe: Alright I'm here with Bible Expert and I've got to ask, what's going on in Job 2? Bible Expert: Well, in Job 2, we see Job's friends come to visit him in his time of affliction. They sit with him for seven days and seven nights in silence, without offering any comfort or consolation. →

Alex Trebek: So, tell me a little about yourself. Contestant: Well, I'm a big fan of the Bible. Let me tell you about Job 2... Alex Trebek: [Sighs] Alright, what's Job 2 about? Contestant: Job 2 tells the story of how God allowed Satan to test Job's faith. →

Listen up, newbies! Job 2 is about this guy, Job, that God puts to the test. He's a righteous man and God allows Satan to test him. Satan takes away Job's kids and possessions, and Job is so mad he wishes he had never been born. →

Batman: Robin, something unusual is afoot! Satan has returned to the Lord's presence, and the Lord has allowed him to test Job's faith. Robin: Oh no, Batman! What does that mean? Batman: Satan has been granted permission to afflict Job's body, but not to take his life. →

Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Job was a righteous man, and then God decided to test him. So He said to satan, "C'mon, man, take away all Job's possessions and his health, and see if he curses me!" See here, Jack, satan did as he was told and took away all Job's possessions, and also gave him painful sores all over his body. →

Job 2: After a tremendous amount of winning, God and Satan were having a meeting. Satan, a very, very low energy hater and loser, said to God, “Many people are saying that Job is too overrated. He is not so faithful to you, believe me. →

Peter: Alright, so this is chapter two of the book of Job. So, Job's buddies show up and they are like, "Wow, Job, you look terrible! What happened to you?". And Job is like, "Yeah, I lost everything: my wealth, my family, and my health. →
