Folks, I'm not gonna lie - Job 22 is one of the strangest stories out there. See here, Jack, Eliphaz the Temanite is talking to Job and he's trying to tell him that he's being punished for his sins. No malarkey! I'm not joking. Eliphaz is saying that Job'll never be happy until he repents and starts to give away all his wealth. So, uh, you know, he tells Job that if he follows God, he'll be blessed with riches beyond his wildest dreams. C'mon, man! I mean, literally, my father used to say that God only helps those who help themselves. What was that? Anyway, Eliphaz goes on and on, telling Job that he should make amends with God and get back on the righteous path. Here's the deal, Job isn't convinced and he's not gonna take any of Eliphaz's advice. I tell you what, it's a confusing chapter but I guess that's why it's so special. Excuse me, but I'm gonna go have a lie down.
