Well, folks, we're back to Nehemiah, and boy, is this a wild one. King Artaxerxes has taken a liking to Nehemiah, and so he gives Nehemiah permission to go back to Jerusalem and rebuild its walls. Nehemiah then travels to Jerusalem and meets with the Jewish elders. He explains why he's there and they're all very happy. He spends the night walking around the city walls and decides that they need to be rebuilt. So he calls a meeting to rally the people and they all agree to help rebuild the walls. Nehemiah leads the charge and they start rebuilding the walls, with Nehemiah also setting up a guard to watch over them at all times. The chapter ends with the people of Jerusalem working hard and being excited about what they're doing.
