Well, Esther 4: the situation is getting dire in this chapter. The Jews are in danger and what do they do? They fast. Yeah, that'll help. Mordecai sends a message to Esther begging her to intercede with the king on their behalf. She's like, "Hey, I'm a Jew, too, but I don't know if I can do that. I mean, I'm not even allowed to look at the king without permission, and he hasn't asked me to." But Mordecai's like, "Come on, Esther, if you don't do something, we're all gonna die!" So she does, and miraculously, the king not only listens to her, but he reverses his decree and the Jews are saved! Then, Mordecai is made the ruler of the empire and everybody celebrates. Who knew one woman could save an entire people?
