Listen up, maggots! Chapter seventeen of Deuteronomy is all about laws and regulations. It starts off by saying that if any of you punks ever want to establish a king over the Israelites, you MUST get permission from the Lord. Got it? Good.

Next, the Lord lays down some guidelines for the king. He can't be a foreigner, he must not acquire too many horses, and he must not take too many wives. He also has to be sure to write out a copy of the Torah and keep it with him always. Got it? Good.

Third, the Lord lays down some laws about how to handle the judicial system. All cases must be brought before the priests and the Levites, and the decision must be made according to the law. Got it? Good.

Finally, the Lord tells the people that if they ever hear of a case where a person has turned away from the Lord and gone after other gods, they must put them to death. Got it? Good. That's all for chapter seventeen, maggots. Dismissed!
