Listen, Jack, here's the deal: I'm talking about 1 Kings 1. No malarkey. C'mon, man! My father used to say, "If you want to understand the Bible, you have to read it chapter by chapter." Literally!

So, here's what happens in 1 Kings 1. This is a tricky one. There's a lot of palace intrigue. See here, Jack: King David is old, and his son Adonijah is angling to be the next king. What was that? He's trying to usurp the throne? Not gonna happen.

I tell you what: God isn't having any of it. He sends Nathan the prophet to anoint David's son Solomon instead. Excuse me, but that's just one of many examples of how God's going to make sure His word is fulfilled.

And folks, the Lord always gets His way. Always. No matter how much Adonijah and his cronies try to keep Solomon from becoming King, they can't stop it. It's gonna happen, and it's gonna happen in God's time. That's what 1 Kings 1 is all about. Trust me, I'm not joking.
