Listen, Jack, here's the deal. My father used to say that the Lord was so angry with Baasha and his family that he destroyed them. Uh, or, you know, they were just so wicked that he had to. The Lord gave their kingdom to Jeroboam, who was way better than Baasha. Uh, you know, but then Jeroboam started doing some pretty wicked stuff too -- sacrificing to idols, and all sorts of other bad things. What was that? No malarkey!

The Lord was so mad that he sent a prophet to condemn Jeroboam and his family, and Jeroboam tried to arrest him, but then the prophet's hand became paralyzed. Literally, it was like a miracle! The Lord then ripped away the kingdom from the house of Jeroboam, and gave it to Omri, and his son Ahab.

Ahab was super wicked and did even worse things than Jeroboam. He even married a foreign princess, Jezebel, and she was an idol worshipper. Not gonna happen! I tell you what, the Lord was so angry with Ahab that he wanted to destroy him, but he didn't.

C'mon, man! But that's the thing with the Lord. He's so merciful. See here, Jack, he never stops loving us. Excuse me, even when we make terrible mistakes, he's still full of grace. That's why we have to trust in him. I'm not joking!
