Well folks, it's been another wild chapter in the Bible. In 1 Kings 6, King Solomon is building the temple. And boy, it's taking a while. He's been working on it for seven years, and it's still not done! I guess it's true what they say - when you build something for the Lord, you take your time. But at least the temple looks nice, with inside walls of cedar and outside walls of cypress. And the whole thing is overlaid with gold.

Meanwhile, in the temple, King Solomon has set up two cherubim - angels - of olive wood overlaid with gold. It's like a match made in heaven! But Solomon is still not done - he builds a big room behind the inner sanctuary and covers it with cedar panels. He even puts in a special window for air circulation.

The chapter ends with King Solomon finishing the temple and presenting it to the Lord. Now that's what I call a job well done!
