Peter: Alright, so this is Titus 1. It's about a guy named Titus who's an elder in the church and he's been given instructions about how to deal with false teachers.

Lois: Oh wow, I didn't know false teachers were a thing.

Brian: Actually, they've been around since the beginning of time. Remember when Aladdin tried to dupe the Sultan by pretending to be a prince?

Peter: Oh yeah, that's right. Well, the instructions basically say that Titus should appoint elders in every town who are blameless and above reproach. And they should be able to refute false teachers.

Brian: Wait a minute, they want him to appoint elders in every town? That's like that old game show Supermarket Sweep!

Lois: Brian, that's not quite the same thing...

Peter: Yeah, anyway, it also says that elders should be the husband of one wife, and their kids should be believers and not accused of wild living.

Brian: That's like that old saying, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!"

Lois: Brian, please.

Peter: Right, so then it goes on to say that elders should be hospitable, love what is good, be self-controlled, upright and holy.

Brian: That's like that old saying, "you get out of life what you put into it!"

Lois: Brian!

Peter: Alright, so those are the main points of Titus 1. Now we can move on to the next chapter.
