Y'all listen up! This is Luke Chapter 14! Jesus is at a dinner party and he tells the guests that if they want to follow him, they'd better hate their families. Then Jesus tells them a parable about how a host invites people to a dinner, but none of them show up. He sends his servants to find more guests, and they find some people who don't have enough money to pay for the meal. Jesus is saying that God is like that host, and He invites everyone to the Kingdom of Heaven, even if they can't pay or have done bad things. He also tells them another parable about a man who built a tower, but didn't have enough money to finish it. Jesus is saying that if you plan to follow Him, you'd better count the cost first and make sure you'll be able to follow through. Lastly, Jesus warns the guests that if they don't forgive others, God won't forgive them. That's it for Luke 14! Now drop and give me twenty!
