Listen up, troops! This is Luke 19 and it’s a doozy. Jesus is headed to Jerusalem, but on the way He stops in Jericho. He meets Zacchaeus, a short dude who climbs a tree to get a better view of Jesus. Jesus invites himself to Zacchaeus’s house for dinner and Zacchaeus is so overjoyed he decides to give half his possessions to the poor and pay back anyone he’s wronged four times what he took. Jesus then tells a parable about a nobleman who’s going away and gives three of his servants money to invest while he’s gone. When he comes back, two of them have made double the money, but one of them has just kept it in the bank. The master is mad and takes the money back. Jesus then says that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from the Jews and given to another nation. Finally, Jesus weeps over Jerusalem, because the people won’t accept Him as the Messiah. That’s it for Luke 19, troops!
