Alex Trebek: So, tell me about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I'd like to start by summarizing Luke 19.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] Alright, go ahead…

Contestant: In Luke 19, Jesus enters Jericho and is met with cheers from the people. He then visits the house of Zacchaeus, a tax collector, who repents and pledges to give half of his possessions to the poor. Jesus then tells a parable of a nobleman who goes away and entrusts his servants with talents while he is gone. When the nobleman returns, two of the servants have doubled the money entrusted to them, while the third has not. Jesus instructs the people to be like the faithful servants, ready to do His work when He returns.

Alex Trebek: [ through gritted teeth] Interesting… anything else?

Contestant: Yes, Jesus then continues on to Jerusalem, where He weeps over the city as He nears the Temple. He then drives out the merchants from the Temple and heals the blind and the lame.

Alex Trebek: [trying to lighten the mood] Well, I'm glad you have such a passion for the Bible. Any hobbies or interests outside of the Bible you'd like to talk about?
