Alex Trebek: Well, uh, tell me about yourself. What do you do for a living?

Contestant: I am a student of the Bible.

Alex Trebek: Interesting. That's great. So what are you studying right now?

Contestant: Actually, I'm in the middle of summarizing the book of Luke chapter 3.

Alex Trebek (visibly frustrated): Oh, right. Of course. Well, go ahead.

Contestant: Sure! In Luke 3, John the Baptist begins his ministry, preaching a message of repentance and baptism in the Jordan River. He baptizes Jesus and declares him the “Lamb of God.” John also denounces the hypocrisy of the religious leaders of the day and calls for them to repent and produce “good fruit” to prove their repentance.

Alex Trebek (sighing): Is that it?

Contestant: Almost! John also answers some questions from the people, including the identity of the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit and whether or not he is the Messiah. He answers that it is Jesus who will baptize with the Holy Spirit and that he is not the Messiah.

Alex Trebek: Great. So, what do you like to do when you're not reading the Bible?
