Folks, here's the deal. Jesus and his disciples have gone to Jerusalem for the Passover feast. The chief priests and teachers of the law have been looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, but they're afraid of the people. So, they plan to arrest Jesus in secret. Meanwhile, Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking God to take away the cup of suffering from him. He's so troubled that he sweats blood. No malarkey! His disciples are sleeping, so he wakes them up and tells them to pray. Then Judas arrives with a mob of soldiers, and Jesus is arrested. My father used to say that if you ever find yourself in a jam, you should stay calm. Well, Jesus was calm and didn't resist. See here, Jack, this is the beginning of the end for Jesus. What was that? The end of his journey to die for our sins. Literally. Or, uh, you know, it's the beginning of our salvation. Not gonna happen that you'd miss that! I tell you what, I'm not joking. This is serious business. Excuse me, but Jesus is about to suffer and die for us.
