Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: We got a story goin' on here in Mark 10. Jesus is teaching the disciples, and he's trying to show them that everything ain't always gonna be easy. No malarkey. He's talking about how hard it is for a rich man to get into heaven and how when you get married, you're supposed to stay together forever. I tell you what, c'mon man! That's a hard one to swallow for some folks. But Jesus is trying to drive it home that it's impossible for us to do it on our own. He's saying we need God's help. Literally. Now, I'm not joking. My father used to say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." See here, Jack, that's what Jesus is trying to impress on us. That when it comes to getting into heaven, it ain't something we can do on our own, or uh, you know, something we can buy our way into. That's not gonna happen. He's saying it takes faith and humility, and that we gotta trust in God and give up our own wants and desires to get there. Excuse me, what was that? That's what Jesus is trying to tell us in Mark 10.
