1. And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. / 2. And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away {his} wife? tempting him. →

Well, folks, this week on Mark, we see Jesus doing a lot of explaining. Apparently, he's trying to make sure his followers understand his teachings, because they just don't get it. He starts by explaining that divorce is a no-no, and then follows up with a lesson about not judging other people. →

Joe: Alright, we got a Bible expert on the show and we're gonna go through each chapter of the Bible. So let's start with Mark 10. What can you tell us about that? Bible Expert: Well, Mark 10 is about Jesus' teachings about marriage, divorce and the role of children in the kingdom of God. →

Alex: Alright, so tell me a bit about yourself. Contestant: Well, I'd like to tell you about Mark 10 in the Bible. Alex: [Annoyed] Oh, great. [Sighs] What is it? Contestant: Mark 10 begins with Jesus speaking to his disciples about divorce and then healing a blind man. →

"Listen up, recruits! This is Mark 10! In this chapter, Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem, and he's talking about marriage and family. He's saying that if a man divorces his wife and marries someone else, he's committing adultery. →

Batman: Okay, Robin, this chapter of the Bible tells us about Jesus and his disciples. Robin: What does he say, Batman? Batman: Well, Jesus and his disciples were traveling through Judea, and Jesus was teaching them about marriage and divorce. →

Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: We got a story goin' on here in Mark 10. Jesus is teaching the disciples, and he's trying to show them that everything ain't always gonna be easy. No malarkey. He's talking about how hard it is for a rich man to get into heaven and how when you get married, you're supposed to stay together forever. →

Mark 10 is all about relationships, as Jesus addresses the issue of marriage. He speaks to the crowds about marriage being between one man and one woman. Jesus then goes on to talk about divorce and the consequences. →
