Folks, here's the deal. See here, Jack, I'm not going to lie to ya: we had a tough one in Judges 20. Not gonna happen, I tell ya. My father used to say: when it rains, it pours. And that's exactly what happened here. C'mon, man!

The Israelites found out some of their people had sinned against the Lord by stealing from the LORD’s house of God at Gibeah. Now, they had to do something about it. So they said to one another, “Let’s go up to the house of God at Gibeah and get it back.” So they did. They went up, and there was a battle.

The Israelites defeated the Benjaminites. Not joking. But then the Benjaminites regrouped and came back for a second battle. What was that? They were determined. But the Israelites still won. They killed 25,000 Benjaminites that day. Or uh, you know, maybe it was 26,000. Literally.

Then the Israelites went and destroyed the city of Gibeah. They burned it to the ground. Excuse me. And then they went back to the Lord’s House of God and offered a sacrifice to him. And, it was all good again. That's what I'm talking about. No malarkey.
