Well, folks, it's time to check in with our favorite family in the Bible: the kids of Adam and Eve. This week in Genesis 4, we got to catch up with Cain and Abel. Cain, the oldest, was a farmer and Abel, the youngest, was a shepherd. →

Joe: Alright, so let's talk about Genesis 4! Tell me, what happens in this chapter? Bible Expert: Well, in this chapter, we learn about the first murder. Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, kills his brother Abel in a jealous rage. →

LISTEN UP, SOLDIERS! THIS IS GENESIS 4! Cain killed Abel cuz he was jealous. God was mad and said Cain would pay for it--he said the ground would no longer bear fruit for Cain, and he would be a wanderer. →

Batman: Trouble is afoot, Robin! Cain has just killed his brother Abel in a fit of jealousy! Robin: Holy smokes, Batman! What a tragedy! Catwoman: Not to mention a crime, Batman! You can't just go around murdering your brother and expect to get away with it! →

C'mon, man! Here's the deal: It all started in Genesis 4 -- literally, folks! Cain and Abel, the sons of Adam and Eve, made offerings to the Lord. Cain brought his offering of fruit, but Abel brought an animal sacrifice. →

In Genesis 4, we have a bigly sad story. It's amazing, but God punished Cain for killing his brother Abel. Cain was very, very mad and God, in his wisdom, gave him a warning to not let his anger control him. →

Peter: Alright, so in Genesis 4, we start off with a bang. Cain kills Abel, and God is not happy. He curses Cain and sends him away. Lois: Oh my God, that's terrible. Brian: Yeah, but then things take an even darker turn when we find out that Cain's wife is actually his sister. →
