Well, folks, it looks like 2 Timothy 4 is a real rollercoaster of a chapter. Paul seems to be coming to the end of his life and is offering some parting words of wisdom...which mostly boil down to 'preach the gospel and don't be afraid of anyone'. He also tells Timothy to be sure he takes care of himself and makes sure he's prepared for the end of his life. He also warns him not to get caught up in controversies and not to be too trusting of people. All in all, it's a pretty bleak chapter, but at least Paul gives Timothy some sage advice before he goes.
