Well, folks, it's time to take a look at the book of Titus, Chapter 3. Here we find Paul giving instructions to his beloved friend Titus, a young pastor who was sent to the island of Crete to help out the churches there. He tells him to be gentle, but firm, and to rebuke the people with all authority. He also tells Titus to be careful of people who cause divisions and follow their own desires. Finally, he tells Titus to be careful in his dealings with heretics and to always do what is good. So, if you're a pastor, looks like you better remember Titus 3: Be gentle but firm, and be careful of heretics. That's the word from God.
