Listen up troops! Chapter 2 of 2 Kings is about Elisha succeeding Elijah as the prophet of God. After Elijah tells Elisha to stay behind, Elisha follows Elijah to Bethel, Jericho, and the Jordan River. At the Jordan River, Elijah is taken up to Heaven in a whirlwind and Elisha takes his cloak. Elisha then performs a miracle by dividing the Jordan River with Elijah's cloak. Afterward, Elisha is confronted by a group of prophets who inform him that Elijah has been taken up to Heaven. Elisha then performs another miracle by bringing Elijah back to life. Finally, Elisha returns to Bethel, where he is met by the people. He then performs a few more miracles and ends the chapter by departing for Jerusalem. That's it!
