Listen up, newbies! Chapter 7 of 2 Chronicles is all about a promise made to King Solomon. God appears to him and says, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. I will also answer their prayers and give them peace." He also instructs Solomon to build a temple for Him and for the people to worship Him. So, Solomon does as he is told, and builds the temple over the course of 7 years. When it is finished, he gathers the people together and offers sacrifices to God. God's presence is so strong that the people fall to their faces in awe and reverence. God is so pleased with them that He promises to be with them and protect them as long as they obey His commands. That's the end of 2 Chronicles 7. You got that?
