Alex: Alright, let's move on to the next contestant - you there, in the back row.

Contestant: Hi, Alex! My name is _______ and I'm here to talk about Deuteronomy 2.

Alex (sighing): Oh, here we go again. What is it this time?

Contestant: Well, this chapter is all about the Israelites journey through the wilderness. They had been wandering around for 40 years, and God instructed them to avoid the nations in the area so they wouldn't get distracted from the mission of taking the Promised Land.

Alex: So, what did they do?

Contestant: They passed through the land of the Moabites and Ammonites, and they were not allowed to fight with them. But they were allowed to purchase food and water from them. Then they passed through the land of the Edomites, and God told them to leave them alone too.

Alex: So, uh, what happened next?

Contestant: Well, God promised the Israelites that they would eventually take the Promised Land, and that it would be theirs forever. He also reminded them to always obey his laws and commandments, and to always keep him as their one true God.

Alex: Right, I think we get the point. Moving on...
