Contestant: Well, I thought I'd tell you about 1 Samuel 7 from the Bible.

Contestant: So, in this chapter, the people of Israel are being attacked by the Philistines. They turn to Samuel for help and he sets up a stone and calls it Ebenezer, meaning, "the Lord has helped us". Then, Samuel and the Israelites pray to God, and God gives them a great victory and they defeat the Philistines.

Contestant: Yes, after the victory, Samuel sets up a permanent place of worship and the people of Israel offer sacrifice and renew their commitment to serve God.
