Listen up, recruits! This is John 12! Jesus and his disciples are in Bethany at the home of a man named Lazarus, who has recently been brought back to life. Lazarus's sisters, Mary and Martha, are there too. Mary anoints Jesus's feet with expensive perfume, and Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples, complains about it, saying the perfume should have been sold and the money given to the poor. Jesus defends Mary, saying that she has done a beautiful thing.

The next day, Jesus and his disciples go to Jerusalem, and the people there welcome him with palm branches. Jesus gives a speech talking about how he will be sacrificed, and some of the people there don't understand what he means.

Jesus then talks with some of the people and tells them that if they believe in him, they will have eternal life. He also says that it is better for him to die so that the people can come to believe in him.

That's John 12, recruits! Dismissed!
