Robin: Holy Sacred Writings, Batman! Chapter 9 of the book of Hebrews is talking about the temple and the rituals that took place there.

Batman: Yes, Robin. It talks about how the priests used to offer sacrifices and perform rituals of cleansing and consecration in the temple.

Catwoman: Oh, Batty, don't forget about the most important part - the blood of the sacrifices! It was sprinkled all over the altar and the holy vessels to purify them.

Riddler: Yes, and it was also used to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Penguin: But, the sacrifices weren't permanent. They had to be repeated over and over again.

Batman: That's correct, Penguin. The sacrifices and rituals could not actually take away sins, so they had to be done continually.

Joker: But then Jesus came, and everything changed! He offered himself as the perfect sacrifice and his blood was able to take away sins once and for all!

Robin: So that means that all those old rituals and sacrifices are no longer necessary!

Batman: Precisely! Through Jesus, we now have a permanent way to make atonement for our sins.
