Alex Trebek: So, contestant, tell me a little bit about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I'm a big Bible reader, so I'd like to tell you about Isaiah 30.

Alex Trebek: [annoyed] Isaiah 30? Uhh, okay then, if you must. What does it say?

Contestant: Isaiah 30 is all about the consequences of trusting in Egypt for help instead of God. The people of Judah have sought help from Egypt instead of putting their trust in God, and now they will face the consequences of that decision. God sends Isaiah to warn them that seeking help from a foreign nation will not save them.

Alex Trebek: [sighs] So, what's the ultimate result?

Contestant: Ultimately, the people of Judah will realize that they should have trusted in God and they will turn to Him in repentance. God will then forgive them and bring them back to Himself. He will restore them and provide a path of righteousness for them to follow.
