Psalms 3 is about David's need for protection from his enemies. He cries out to God for help in verse 1, and then recognizes in verse 2 that God is always there for him and will protect him. He even goes so far as to say that God will save him from his enemies in verse 3. In verses 4-6, David expresses his faith in God's protection and in His power to save him. He even goes so far as to say that all those who oppose him will be ashamed and confused. In verses 7-8, David praises God for His protection and acknowledges that it is only through God's grace that he can be saved. So if you ever find yourself in a tough spot, remember what David said in Psalms 3: trust in God, and He will deliver you.
