Psalms 124 is a prayer of praise, thanking God for His protection.
Listen up, recruits! Psalms 124 is all about praising God for His protection. It starts off with the writer saying, "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say". The psalmist then goes on to thank God for His protection, saying, "Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth". Finally, the psalmist ends by saying, "Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped". So, there you have it! God protected His people in the face of danger, and they praised Him for it. Dismissed!
