Folks, here's the deal: Revelation 2 is all about the church of Ephesus. Now, this church was literally the perfect example of what a church should be. My father used to say, 'it doesn't get any better than this'. But, c'mon, man! It wasn't all good. See, there was one problem - I'm not joking - they had lost their first love. What was that? Well, it means they had stopped loving God with all their heart. Not gonna happen with me, I tell ya!

Anyways, Jesus tells them to remember what they used to be like, and to repent and do their first works again. Or uh, you know, there will be some serious consequences. He also warns them that the Nicolaitans - excuse me - were a group of people who were doing some things in the church that were not okay. So, Jesus warned them to watch out for them and not to follow their teachings.

Bottom line, folks, is that this chapter is a reminder that we can never get too comfortable in our faith. We need to always stay vigilant, and never forget our first love. No malarkey!
