Folks, here's the deal: Nehemiah 11 is all about the folks who returned to Jerusalem after the exile. I'm not joking, no malarkey! See here, Jack, they all lived in Jerusalem, and they took over the cities around it. The priests, Levites, and the rest of the folks who returned all had their own homes and lands throughout the region. Now, c'mon man, they made sure to stay faithful to God and his laws, so they all had to settle in Jerusalem and the surrounding towns. My father used to say, "If you want something done, do it yourself" and that's just what these folks did. They literally took the initiative and populated their own cities and towns. They even built a wall around Jerusalem! What was that? A wall! C'mon man, that was a lot of work. Or, uh, you know, they got a lot of help from the folks that stayed in the region and the folks that returned from exile.

Now, I tell you what, they also made sure to take care of the temple. They made sure that the priests and Levites were all taken care of, and they made sure to provide food and wine for all the offerings. They also took care of the singers and gatekeepers too. Excuse me, they didn't forget to take care of the other folks in the area either, they made sure to provide food, wine, and oil for all the folks who were in need.

It goes to show, folks, that when you come together, there's no limit to what you can do. Literally, these folks didn't let anything stop them from doing what was right. Not gonna happen!
