1-12.

Folks, here's the deal: My father used to say, "The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that's not always the case. C'mon, man! I'm not joking. See here, Jack: sometimes the downtrodden and the weak have the advantage. What's that? Or uh, you know, sometimes the poor are the ones who are wise and have understanding. That's right!

No malarkey. I tell you what: I've seen a lot of things that don't make sense. Like, for instance, a man who lives a long life and still isn't satisfied. Literally! That can't be right. Or a man who's been given wealth and possessions, but he still isn't content. Excuse me, that's just not gonna happen.

And here's something else. I've seen a man who has no children, but he still ends up with a poor reputation. That's right! He works hard and strives for success, but it just doesn't come to him. What was that? Even if he lives to see a hundred years, his life is still as meaningless as if he had died at birth. That's right I'm telling you!

My father used to say, "Trouble and sorrows come to us all. They can't be avoided, no matter how hard we try." That's right! He was so wise. But see here, Jack: no man knows what the future holds, so why bother worrying? That's right, I'm not joking. No matter how hard we work, some things just can't be changed. That's it. That's the deal.
