Welcome back, I'm Norm MacDonald and here's your Biblical Update. In Joshua chapter 20, God tells the Israelites to set aside cities of refuge where someone who accidentally killed someone could flee and be saved from the revenge of the victim's family. →

Listen up, troops! This is Joshua 20, so pay attention! In this chapter, God tells the Israelites to choose 6 cities of refuge. They are places of safety for anyone who has accidentally killed someone, so that person can flee there in order to escape punishment. →

Batman: Robin, let us review the events of Joshua 20! Robin: Yes, Batman, let's dive in! Batman: The LORD commanded Joshua to appoint cities of refuge throughout the land of Israel, so that innocent people could flee to them from the avenger of blood. →

C'mon, man! We're talking about Joshua chapter 20. Listen, Jack, here's the deal: if you're taking refuge from a crime you committed and some dude wants to avenge the crime, you ain't gonna be protected by the law. →

In Joshua 20, God is continuing to show his tremendous support for the Israelites. He says that cities of refuge should be designated for those who have accidentally killed someone. If they flee to one of these cities, they will be safe from avengers of blood. →
