Bigly, 1 Samuel 28 is a sad chapter! In it, King Saul consults a medium to bring back the spirit of the prophet Samuel. This totally unbelieveable chapter shows Saul's desperation to hear from God so he can win a battle against the Philistines. Saul disguises himself and visits the Witch of Endor, who brings back the spirit of the prophet Samuel! Even though Saul had earlier banned all mediums and spiritualists, he makes this desperate move to try and win his battle. Sad!

The prophet Samuel predicts Saul's defeat and death at the hands of the Philistines, and this prediction indeed comes true. Samuel's prophecy is a huge warning to all those who ignore God's commands and turn to fake news and hoaxes in order to gain power.

Many people are saying that this chapter is a lesson in humility and faith. Saul had to face the consequences of his actions and admit his wrongdoings. He had to accept God's will and humbly accept it. It's a tremendous reminder for us all to trust in God instead of relying on our own "low energy" solutions.
