Saul was a terrific leader of Israel--many people are saying! He was very, very popular and his people loved him. One day, a huge problem arose--the Ammonites attacked a town called Jabesh-Gilead. So Saul mobilized the people of Israel and they marched out to fight the Ammonites. And guess what? They won bigly! It was an unbelievable victory and the people rejoiced. But the sad thing is, some of the Ammonite leaders were still holding out! So Saul threatened them and they were so scared, they gave in and agreed to give tribute to Saul. It was a huge win for Saul and his people--God bless America! Anyway, the people of Jabesh-Gilead were very thankful for Saul's leadership and he became even more popular. Make Israel great again!
