Well, well, well, it looks like the party's in full swing in the fifth chapter of Luke. Jesus is out there on the lake with his buddies, Peter, James, John, and Andrew, when all of a sudden he tells them to go fishing. →

Joe: Alright, so I'm here with our Bible Expert, and we're gonna talk about Luke 5. What's goin' on here? Expert: Well Joe, this chapter is about Jesus performing miracles. He shows his power and his authority as the Son of God. →

Alex Trebek: So, tell me a bit about yourself! Contestant: Well, Alex, I'd like to tell you about Luke 5. Alex Trebek (clearly frustrated): Uhh...okay. Contestant: In the chapter, Jesus is teaching by the Sea of Galilee and a large crowd is gathered around him. →

Luke 5 is about Jesus performing miracles and calling people to follow Him. He heals a paralyzed man, forgives his sins and tells him to go and sin no more. He calls four fishermen to become his disciples, and they leave their boats and nets to follow Jesus. →

1-11. Batman: Robin, the book of Luke is telling us an incredible story! Robin: What is it, Batman? Batman: It tells us about Jesus and how he went out to the Sea of Galilee to preach. Joker: Ha ha ha! Preaching? That sounds like a real snore-fest! →

Folks, here's the deal. No malarkey. Luke 5 is all about Jesus and his miracles. C'mon, man! He marches into town and, literally, he's healing the sick and the lame, like nobody's business. I'm not joking, it's like a scene out of a movie. →

1-11. Luke 5:1-11 is a bigly amazing chapter! The truth is that it's full of tremendous stories about Jesus and his disciples. So, here it is. Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee and he saw a ton of people gathered around, trying to catch fish. →
