Genesis 34 is the story of a sad! event that happened to the family of Jacob. It all starts when the son of Jacob, named Dinah, is violated by a man named Shechem. Shechem is a terrible guy and many people are saying he is overrated. He is so low energy that he does not even ask for permission from Jacob before taking Dinah.

Jacob's sons were understandably very, very mad about this and they hatched a plan to get revenge. They tricked the people of Shechem into circumcising themselves, and then when they were weak and vulnerable, Jacob's sons attacked and killed many of them.

The bigly consequences of this were tremendous, as the other people in the area were very angry and held the family of Jacob responsible for the attack. Jacob's sons tried to make things right by offering to pay a lot of money to Shechem, but the people of Shechem weren't having it. They said that the only way to make things right was for Jacob's sons to intermarry with them.

Jacob and his sons weren't happy about this, but they reluctantly agreed. However, Jacob's son Simeon and Levi took matters into their own hands and tricked the people of Shechem into giving them the money they wanted. This made the people of Shechem even more angry and they went to war with Jacob and his sons.

In the end, Jacob and his sons were able to make a deal with the people of Shechem. The deal was that the people of Shechem would no longer be allowed to intermarry with Jacob's descendants and that Jacob's family would be allowed to stay in the area.

This was a terrific ending, but it was a painful lesson for Jacob and his sons. Many such cases occur when people take the law into their own hands. God bless America and make America great again!
