HOSEA 1: Listen up, maggots! Hosea was a prophet of God and he was commanded to marry a prostitute. Hosea had three children with her, two of which were named after God's judgement on Israel. God told Hosea to name his first child Jezreel, which means God will scatter. The second child was named Lo-Ruhamah, which means no mercy. The third child was named Lo-Ammi, which means not my people. God's judgement against Israel was that He would no longer consider them His people. But God promised that one day He would have mercy on them and restore them. That's it, maggots!
