Folks, here's the deal: Zechariah 13 starts by talking about a fountain that will be opened up to cleanse us from our sins and our uncleanness. That's what my father used to say. I'm not joking. Then it goes on to say that all the false prophets and diviners will be destroyed. But God will protect those who call on his name and will make them like his own people. Then it talks about how the Lord will be like a refiner's fire and a launderer's soap. See here, Jack, that means that God will purify us like a refiner purifies metal and a launderer purifies clothes. C'mon, man! Then it says that God will take away the names of the idols and false prophets from the land. Literally! And God will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. What was that? Or uh, you know, it's gonna be like they were never there. Not gonna happen. And then it says that if anyone still prophesies, their parents will say to them, "You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the Lord." I tell you what, excuse me, that's a pretty serious deal. But God will be with his people and will save them.
