Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Paul is talking about how the Jews and the Gentiles are all guilty of sin. Now, the Jews had the law, but the Gentiles didn't have it. C'mon, man! So, Paul is saying that it's the same for both of them: no malarkey! No one is good, and everyone has sinned. That's what he's saying. Literally.

My father used to say—and I'm not joking—that God is patient and loving and just. He will forgive us, but only if we believe in Jesus. See here, Jack: Jesus died for our sins. What was that? We can be forgiven for all the wrong things we've done, or uh, you know, the wrong choices we've made.

Now, folks, don't get it twisted. We can't just do whatever we want and then ask for forgiveness. Not gonna happen. I tell you what, it's a package deal. We have to accept Jesus, and then we have to live according to His teachings. That's the only way to be forgiven.

So, there you have it, folks. Jesus is our way to be forgiven. Excuse me, but that's the bottom line.
