Job 14: Job talks about how brief man's life is, how frail he is, and how he can't wait for his days on Earth to be over. He laments that he can't control his destiny and that his days are numbered. He wishes for God to forgive his sins and give him peace in death. He acknowledges that God is powerful and that man is powerless. "Man's days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed."
